Manic Panic

The history: Manic Panic was started on 7/7/77 in New York by sisters Tish & Snooky during the height of the late 70’s punk scene. At the time, being singers in the original Blondie lineup, these girls knew what punk was all about. With a loan from their mother of $500, they opened up a small boutique in NY’s infamous St. Marks Place, and it was history from then on. Celebrities like Joey Ramone, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Kelis, Grimes, Lupita Nyong’o, Cyndi Lauper, Cher, Marilyn Manson, Nicki Minaj, and Gwen Stefani are just some of the people that indorse this product fully and love the Manic Panic lifestyle. And after expanding to an international distribution scale, the sisters visited Venice Beach, CA and after being reminded of the East Village in NY, decided to make a west coast Manic Panic destination in the heart of southern California. Since the 70’s, Manic Panic has been a staple in counter-culture and wild child lifestyles all over the globe.

Why we love them:They were a rags to riches story who embraced their punk side and said “fuck it!” They created out-of-this-world shades and dyes that people fell in love with. They’re also 100% cruelty free and completely vegan as well (cuz you know we luv our animal bbz here). These sisters have a staying power and a cult following just like our babes at Dolls Kill.

One phrase: Tested on Celebrities, Not Animals
