To Our Community:

We want to make it 100% clear what Dolls Kill and the Dolls Kill team stands for.

We condemn racism, police brutality, violence, bigotry and hate. We believe in unapologetic self expression and individual empowerment, especially in the face of oppression. We stand with the Black community and the Black Lives Matter Movement.

The fact that it was unclear where we stand makes it painfully obvious: As a company, we must do better.

We have spent the past few days listening to you - talking with our employees, models and customers. We hear you that apologies are not enough. We need to do more than be passively ‘not racist’. To move forward, we must acknowledge that we’ve been a part of the problem, take actions to combat systemic racism and proactively push forward change.

Despite having a voice rooted in rebellion and defiance, we have shied away from using our platform and our voice to stand up for what’s right. We were too late to speak up against the murder of George Floyd and the many other acts of systemic injustice that came before him. We have made mistakes that were culturally insensitive. In a time meant for action and reflection, our response distracted from what’s truly important - demanding justice and promoting revolutionary change. We did not represent what we stand for as a brand and more importantly, we did not reflect the passion that our diverse team has for the Black Lives Matter movement.

Today, inspired by you and fueled by our passionate team, we’re taking the first steps to do our part in the ongoing fight against racism and inequality:

• Support Black-Owned Businesses: We commit to buying $1 Million dollars worth of product from Black-owned fashion brands and designers. We will partner with them to donate 100% of the profits to charities and organizations of their choice.
• Empower the Black Lives Matter Movement: We donated $100,000 directly to the NAACP Empowerment Programs in support of BLM. In addition, we will match 100% of employee donations so that we can collectively have a greater impact.
• Amplify the Voices of Change: We pledge to amplify the voices of people of color across all our channels. We will immediately lend our platform to support the BLM movement. And we will focus on incorporating more diversity in everything we do.
• Become Anti-Racist: We will examine all of our processes across Dolls Kill - from the way we select merchandise to the way we hire. We will look for opportunities to eliminate implicit biases, promote diversity and inclusion, and elevate the unheard.

We know nothing will be enough until we see true racial equality and justice. But we will stand by you and be a part of that change. This is just the beginning.
